Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
WithEase Africa ("we", "us", "our") operates witheaseafrica.com and the WithEase Africa platform at app.witheaseafrica.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. We are committed to handling your data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, phone number and language preference when you create an account.
- Entity data — details of the organisation you register (business, church, NGO, association or professional practice), including registration numbers such as CAC, TIN or SCUML where you provide them.
- Documents — files you choose to upload to your vaults. These are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket and are only ever retrievable by authorised members of your entity through time-limited signed links.
- Compliance and tax data — obligations, filings and calculations you record on the platform.
- Usage data — basic technical logs (device, browser, pages visited) used to keep the service secure and improve it.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the platform: document storage, compliance tracking, tax calculation and your Trust Score.
- To send you service notifications you have opted into (compliance deadlines, document expiry, account activity) by in-app message, email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To process subscription payments through our payment processor (Paystack). We never store your full card details.
- To keep the platform secure, prevent abuse and comply with our own legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. Your Trust Score is only shared with third parties (such as lenders or donors) when you choose to share it.
3. Legal bases
We process your data on the basis of: performance of our contract with you; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and functional.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored with our cloud infrastructure providers using encryption in transit and at rest. Documents live in private storage accessible only through short-lived signed URLs. Access within your entity is controlled by roles you assign. Our staff do not access your documents except where strictly required to resolve a support issue you raise, and only with your permission.
5. Sharing
- Service providers — cloud hosting, email, SMS/WhatsApp delivery and payment processing, each bound by contractual confidentiality.
- Legal requirements — where a competent Nigerian authority lawfully requires disclosure.
- With your direction — when you share a document, report or Trust Score with someone yourself.
6. Your rights (NDPR / NDPA)
You have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data; to object to or restrict processing; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@witheaseafrica.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except records we must retain by law (for example, payment records).
8. Cookies
The marketing site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The app uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.
9. Children
The platform is for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
